We began our journey on an 18-hour train ride from Birmingham, AL to Washington, DC.
The trains are actually very comfortable. The chairs recline and there is plenty of legroom. They even give us pillows. We are free to move around the train and go to the lounge car or dinning car. The lounge car has a snack bar and tables to sit at.
We went to the dinning car for dinner and had delicious crawfish et tu fay. It only cost us about $20..... We'll be dinning in the lounge car from now on.
